Each member of management and supervision receive a Nicholson & Hall Corporation Health and Safety manual that is in compliance with 29 CFR Part 1926 of the OSHA regulations. In addition, Nicholson & Hall Corporation’s supervisors receive a manual entitled “What Every Supervisor Must Know About OSHA Construction” that provides guidance specifically for construction workers to ensure compliance with mandated federal regulations emphasizing accident prevention. Employee training is essential for a successful safety program. Nicholson & Hall Corporation has in place a safety orientation for new workers and newly appointed supervisors. It is the policy of Nicholson and Hall to establish and maintain an effective accident prevention and safety program on every job site. Nicholson & Hall Corporation has recently been admitted as a member of The Affinity Captive Insurance Group. Captive insurance companies are established by member companies that provide risk sharing among them. Consequently only firms having a strong history of worker injury prevention and loss management are allowed to join. Each member is required to demonstrate both a minimum risk control assessment score, (RCA) and an improvement in their RCA score each year. This reflects the policy that members demonstrate continued progress in reducing injuries, losses, and claims.
